Mei Lee (Rosalie Chiang) is in math class when someone passes a note that says her mother is outside. When she looks out the classroom window, Mei Lee spies Ming (Sandra Oh), her overbearing mother watching her from afar. When Ming creates a scene, the other kids in Mei Lee's class notice and crowd around the window to watch. This embarrasses Mei Lee and in a moment of panic she transforms into a giant red panda. In this new form, Mei Lee runs away to hide, stunning people in her wake as she explores the streets of Toronto.
